Kusum Chettri (Sponsor Dr. Basheerhamad Shadrach, New Delhi)
Kusum Chettri is the eldest daughter of Mr. Kumar Chettri and Ms. Durga Chettri from Kak Jhora Darjeeling. Mr. Kumar is a daily wages labourer and his income is inconsistent and financial difficulties arise frequently. To add to his woes his wife Ms. Durga is undergoing tuberculosis treatment after staying in TB hospital for six months. In the family Kusum has one brother and one sister. Kusum is very good in her studies and she takes every odd in her life with a smile.
